On this screenshot people 43.52% of site visits came from the search engines. How many of them come from Google, Bing, Yahoo? Does the first place on Google organic results guarantee business success of our website? First of all, each entrepreneur should keep a balance of marketing tools in the online business sector. It’s not recommended that the company’s Internet marketing mostly depends on the marketing to the search engines. There is a danger that the constant change of algorithms will immediately jeopardize the website accomplishment. It’s expected that search engines have 40-50% of share so that the websites are not immediately affected by the search engine unpredictable fluctuations.
Secondly, if we admit that:
- We have selected the right keywords that describe our business services and products;
- The website is search engine friendly;
- We have implemented the right link building policy.
Then the possibility is high that our website will have high ranking and top places in Google organic results. But is it the only online objective of our business?
In fact, what is the purpose of our website? What do we want to get from the website to make sure that it hasn’t been developed in vain? Have you thought of it? It’s surprising, but only a few companies identify their online goals. When we realize what the benefit of our website is, who our customers are, how we can reach them, only then we’ll focus on the necessary tools to achieve the objectives, one of which can be the top place on Google organic results. So we should first start clarifying our website objectives.
